Drew is an incredible young man with autism. Diagnosed at 18 months old, he has brought so much joy not only to my life but all that know him.

Like all of us, Covid really affected Drew. He was finishing his junior year of high school when Covid happened. Never went back to school in person. Which was hard for him because he loved school. Loved riding the bus. All that to say, Drew hasn’t been himself the past 5 years. He didn’t want to leave the house or be social at all. By the fall of 2022 I decided it was time time to make a change. He needed to get out of the house and learn how to be social again. We first heard of Annandale through some of our neighbors. After touring the campus and learning about the Day Program, I knew it was the right place for Drew.

He has been a part of the Day Program for 2 years now and has flourished tremendously in that time. From winning Best Overall Performance in Annandale’s Got Talent show to receiving a Milestone Achiever of the Year award for his progress last year, Drew has made great strides. And has continued to do so in 2025. We could not be more proud of him. It truly takes a village to care for an individual on the spectrum and we are grateful to have the staff and community at Annandale be a part of our team!

Annandale Village is the only non-profit residential community in the state of Georgia that serves adults with developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries at all levels of care throughout an individual’s lifetime.
