INSPIRATION :: SWEET VALENTINE

Looking for some Valentine inspiration?  With Valentine's Day less than a week away I thought it would be fun to do a mini shoot with some cute Valentine accessories so I called up two of my favorite kids to be my models (actually I called their moms, who are the best of friends).  Not only are these two adorable, they have already declared that they will one day get married!  I kid you not, this is real love y'all!  I just hope they ask me to photograph their wedding... ;)

The details:

Red & white striped paper straws: Two Crazy Ladies (Etsy)

Valentine card: "XO" graphic is a free download from Pizzazzerie (SUPER amazing & inspirational entertaining website) that you can print onto cardstock; I added coordinating scrapbook paper (from my local craft store) & adhered it all to a piece of cardstock (cut & trimmed to make a 5x5 card) using a Xyron sticker maker.

Glitter heart banner: Funkyshique (Etsy)

Cupcakes: Store bought mini cupcakes, I simply added x-large candy hearts to the top of each cupcake.

"I (heart) U" Tin Vase: Something I found at a local antique market but could easily be done with a tin can & some chalkboard paint.

BABY'S 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY :: BELLA

This birthday party has so many amazing details, I don't even know where to begin!  Bella's mom is one talented lady.  She put together and executed a beautiful party for her daughter and only child.  I loved everything about this party.  The location (Grace | 17•20), the desserts, the attention to detail, sweet Bella in her pettiskirt, the Paris and french poodle theme and of course all the pink.  Gorgeous party for an adorable and much loved little girl.  Très chic!

FAMILY PORTRAITS :: THE KING FAMILY

I can't say enough nice things about this family. They are such a sweet, loving and fun family. One my favorite things about this session is the location, which they chose. We shot the session at a local park but it wasn't just any park, it's a park near their home that they visit often together as a family. I love that we captured not only beautiful photos but special memories for them to cherish forever.

KIDS BIRTHDAY PARTIES :: NOAH

I'd followed the work of Amy Osaba (a very sweet and talented event and floral designer) long before I had the privilege of meeting her this fall. It was actually a mutual friend of ours that called me and asked if I wanted shoot her son's birthday party. Of course I said yes because I knew that it would be a fabulous party filled with lots of darling details. Just as I predicted, Amy did not disappoint. Noah's Halloween themed costume party was set up under a large tree at a local park complete with skeleton cupcakes, witches brew, face painting and even a scavenger hunt. To see more pictures check out Amy's blog. And while you're there check out her beautiful work!

FAMILY PORTRAITS :: THE WOOD FAMILY

Sweet little family of three, a crisp fall morning and a curious toddler who wants to explore it all. That pretty much sums up this session perfectly. Oh, and the eyes on this adorable boy... ? I do wonder how his mommy is able to say no to that sweet face!
